Motor Maniac
Hi, for this week, I decided to redo the core mechanics, since I felt that part could be improved a bit. I already added coyote time and jump buffering, as well as squash and stretch in the first week.
This week I:
- Added a smoke particle trail
- Added some motor sounds
- Added a 'sprinting' mechanic when you head into the same direction for a few seconds
- Increased the minimum jump height, as that was one of your feedback points
- Removed the squash and stretch, since it conflicted with the rotation on the player animation.
- Made the rotation of the player more consistent and less buggy
- Added a death explosion to the 'enemies' which are now traffic lights
- Increased the jump height when a player kills an enemy, so it feels more impactful
